About Supervisor Leslie Haley

Since coming to Chesterfield more than twenty years ago, Leslie Haley has made it a main priority to stay as involved in the local community as possible. She has served as: recent president of the Midlothian High School PTSO, past president of the Chesterfield County Council PTA/PTSA, a board member of (SAFE) Substance Abuse Free Environment since 2008, she served on the 2013 Bond Referendum Committee, worked with the 2004 Bond Referendum Committee, and because of her unwavering dedication to our community as well as her profession, she was the recipient of the "Most Influential Women of Virginia Award" in 2010 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.

As a small business owner, she recognizes "the important role small businesses play in the success of Chesterfield County" and our community as a whole.  She has owned, operated and managed her own Law firm since 2012, was the Senior Assistant Ethics counsel at the Virginia State Bar for fourteen years, and is a court-appointed Guardian ad litem for Virginia's abused and neglected children. Leslie helps to support the community not only as a business owner but also as a leader to the Walton Lake Homeowners Association. As President, Leslie continually strives to find new ways to bring local residents together as a community.

Having been active and involved with the county government and school system, Leslie not only understands the crucial role education plays in our community and the effect it has on economic success and business development, she also realizes that the vitality of our community reflects the investment we all make, how we make that investment, and the impact it has on all of us.  Because of her background and experience, she is well aware of how important it is to set priorities, balance budgets, and work with teams to set positive goals that lead to positive outcomes.  She realizes relationships are an integral part of the key to long-term success.

Leslie is a business owner, a lawyer, and a leader, but what she is most proud of is being Alex and Reagan’s Mom. Leslie and her husband raised their two children here, their daughter, Reagan, is a graduate of James Madison University and their son, Alex, a senior at Virginia Tech.

Leslie is a person whose ethics and integrity are not only a first priority, but an integral part of who she is. Chesterfield deserves a leader that not only understands the needs of those who call it home, but also a leader who is willing to fight for them with honesty and integrity. Leslie was elected to the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors in 2015 and served as Vice-Chair in 2017 and 2018 and is serving as the Chair of the Board in 2019. Leslie continues to strive to ensure Chesterfield County remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
