As a small business owner, she recognizes "the important role small businesses play in the success of Chesterfield County" and our community as a whole. She has owned, operated and managed her own Law firm since 2012, was the Senior Assistant Ethics counsel at the Virginia State Bar for fourteen years, and is a court-appointed Guardian ad litem for Virginia's abused and neglected children. Having been active and involved with the county government and school system, Leslie not only understands the crucial role education plays in our community and the effect it has on economic success and business development, she also realizes that the vitality of our community reflects the investment we all make, how we make that investment, and the impact it has on all of us. Because of her background and experience, she is well aware of how important it is to set priorities, balance budgets, and work with teams to set positive goals that lead to positive outcomes. She realizes relationships are an integral part of the key to long-term success.
Leslie is a business owner, a lawyer, and a leader, but what she is most proud of is being Alex and Reagan’s Mom. Leslie and her husband raised their two children here, their daughter, Reagan, is a graduate of James Madison University and their son, Alex, a senior at Virginia Tech.
Leslie is a person whose ethics and integrity are not only a first priority, but an integral part of who she is. Chesterfield deserves a leader that not only understands the needs of those who call it home, but also a leader who is willing to fight for them with honesty and integrity. Leslie was elected to the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors in 2015 and served as Vice-Chair in 2017 and 2018 and is serving as the Chair of the Board in 2019. Leslie continues to strive to ensure Chesterfield County remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
